Located at 10 Chester Place, Doheny Mansion anchors the historic Downtown Los Angeles campus. It takes up to 100 guests in the Mansion, and up to 500 when booked together with the Front Lawn, so an event can move between the house and the lawn, which carries ceremonies, receptions and outdoor gatherings. The rental includes the Pompeian Room, a Gilded-Age interior beneath an iridescent Tiffany glass dome that suits dining, cocktail receptions and presentations. The Mansion is also a filming location. Filming is arranged through Unreel Locations (323-953-6189, unreelsite@aol.com). Chester Place itself was an exclusive gated community of Victorian mansions in the early 1900s. The lawn is also presented on its own as the Doheny Mansion Lawn outdoor space — the North, South and Front lawns around the house.
